The series has two main locations: the "real" world of everyday experience, and the fantasy realm of the Little Pink Princess. Within each of these will be a main location and different occasional locations. The real world often involves the apartment where Sophia and her parents live and its environs, which will be loosely modeled on the area in which my daughter lives with shops and multi-unit apartment buildings (of course it will not correspond exactly). The realm of the Little Pink Princess will most often involve the castle in which the Princess lives with her family and the court, and the town and its environs around the castle.
In addition to these common locations, which will give a sense of continuity to the series, there will be various other environments which will depend on the needs of the script. For example, the storyboard for the episode I have uploaded is set at a public swimming pool and in a fantasy jungle. These kinds of environments will expand the possibilities for plot development and allow a rich and varied development of visual elements. Stop motion is an art form which can make the most of a visually complex environment, and this should both make it more interesting to viewers and allow additional instructional opportunities.
